Pass Creek Ice Bowl a Success!
Written by Administrator    Saturday, 16 January 2010 16:01    PDF Print E-mail

Well this year was the first event to be held at the New Pass Creek Disc Golf Course. The new course located in Curtin Oregon is situated about 15 minutes from cottage grove, and about 40 minutes north of Whistlers. Our first event saw 50 players come from far and wide. We had 20 Pro Golfers, 29 Am Golfers, and 1 JR golfer.  The infamous Diane Lake claimed its fair share of plastic during the day, estimated about 60 discs in the water for 1 event. We will be sending work parties into the lake to retreive as much plastic as we can.

UCAN and the FISH Food Pantry located in Drain Oregon were the charities we helped this year. All in total we raised: $230.00 Cash  and 170 lbs of food. Click Here for the Receipt

I wanted to give a moment to recognize our sponsors one last time as well... Roseburg Hydroponics, Pandoras Box, Western Beverage Company, Staples, Lions Club Of Roseburg, PureDiscGolf.com, State of jefferson Flipout League, Hukker International, Zing Mini Discs and the Douglas County Parks Department.

We will see you next year!

DiscGolfOregon.com and Team DGO would like to extend our thanks to Douglas County Parks department and the Roseburg Lions Club. Without their help the Ice Bowl wouldn't be possible.

We look forward to seeing everyone there... We will have plenty of good golf to go around. Remember no Wimps... No Whiners!

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
